Intelligence artificielle et santé, la révolution est en marche

L’IA est en passe de révolutionner la manière d’aborder et de pratiquer la médecine.
Grâce au deep learning, des algorithmes sont déjà capables de détecter des mélanomes de la peau ou une tumeur cancéreuse.
L’Intelligence artificielle excelle particulièrement dans la robotique, et ses innovations santé sont nombreuses : l’université de Newcastle a développé par exemple une prothèse de main bionique qui, grâce à sa caméra, choisit la façon la plus appropriée de saisir un objet.
Plus proche de notre quotidien, l’amélioration des soins hospitaliers, des temps d’attentes et des coûts, est à portée de main.

L’intelligence artificielle mobilisée pour l’écologie

Octobre 2018 a été le théâtre de nombreuses catastrophes naturelles en France.
Ces événements ont à nouveau pointé le doigt sur le réchauffement climatique et sur ses conséquences désastreuses.

Faire de la science un sujet ludique n’est pas chose facile.
Et pourtant, une série relève le défi haut la main : « data science vs fake » est entièrement réalisée en dataviz. Des formats courts (3 mn) qui décortiquent des idées reçues en s’appuyant sur des données chiffrées.
Initialement réalisées pour des adolescents, ces vidéos démontrent à quel point la compréhension est facilitée grâce à la data visualisation.
